After nearly 30 years of successful operation, I Tre Merli will be closing the doors of our beloved Soho location this Memorial Day.
As you may well recall, upon first opening in 1985, I Tre Merli was a pioneer and one of the first big restaurants in Soho. The neighborhood was completely different back then, chock full of art galleries, small bars and boutique clubs. I Tre Merli contributed to creating a special atmosphere that made SoHo unique and internationally renowned. Today, this area has become an expensive shopping mall and the competition from luxury firms has driven rentals to a level that makes it very difficult to do business here. So we are currently looking to reopen in another location.
Please keep up with our web page (www.itremerli.com) and our Facebook page (LIKE us at "I Tre Merli Restaurant" and add it to your newsfeed) for news on our reopening.
In the meantime, be sure to stop by this week to say goodbye and share a toast on Thursday night (8pm-12am) to celebrate the great and memory-filled 28 years we enjoyed in Soho!
You will also still be able to find some of the faithful I Tre Merli staff at our sister restaurant, Revel, 10 Little West 12th Street in the Meatpacking District, www.revelnyc.com.
Our family thanks you for your continued business and for the fun times with which I Tre Merli has filled our lives and our hearts.
